Glass vessels from the galleries of Corning

The Corning Museum of Glass is truly a unique Museum!   It focuses on only one subject – glass. The purpose of this blog is to highlight the historical glass collection which is the most comprehensive and perhaps best in the world. The Museum has more than 45,000 objects and traces 3,500 years of glassmaking history.  Below is only a very small part of CMOG collection divided into four categories: American Glass up to the 19th C, Ancient Glass up to the 7th C, European & English Glass up to the 19th C, and Modern Era & Art Glass.  Because of the size of  this file clicking on a picture may take a long time to up-load depending on your connection.
