**GADROONING
GADROONING
A decorative motif in glassmaking of continuous short repetitive vertical sections of either reeding or ribs. Some of these have tiny protruding spikes of glass brought out and away from the vessel at the end of the row of gadroons. Most often this decoration is applied after the vessel has been formed.
